Literally rescued from landfill by me personally! I pulled this beautiful school gym bench out of a skip, following a tip off (no pun intended) from an ex-colleague at my old school. Upcycled by shortening from 8ft. to 4ft. long and painting in a bright Valspar satin paint, it now lives with a young family in London!
Perfect for a child’s bedroom, playroom or nursery, I retained the original features of this bench; refurbished the top with a tough, water based finish and gave the frame a bright red, tough satin top coat! While the beech frame makes these benches super tough and sturdy, it’s their history that gives them real character!
I aim, through my upcycling, to create future family heirlooms which can be passed on to future generations to enjoy!
