This project epitomises why I founded UNIQ in 2014! Schools, offices and industry dispose of perfectly usable furniture every day and if it was made in the 50s/60s, then it was probably made from quality materials like this table from a secondary school art room! Solid Beech frame with beautifully figured Beech table top!
I repaired and refinished the frame, painting it using Valspar satin paint and resurfaced the amazing top after gluing together the planks which had separated with 40/50 years of use and abuse! The table was sold to a local family who now have it as their kitchen table along with classroom stools that I made to match!
There’s nothing better that seeing my furniture going off to a happy customer who uses it every day! Saved and repurposed, job done!
