One of my most dramatic ‘before and afters’, this customer commission started life as a set of plywood bedroom drawers circa 1980s and two 10ft. lengths of solid oak from a secondary school changing room benches circa 1950s! The brief was to produce a contemporary work desk and storage unit for a new conservatory.
With the majority of upcycling for this project completed at my workshop, the unit, painted in F&B Card Room Green was installed at the customer’s home in their bright, airy new conservatory. As well as the refinished plywood units, I added additional shelving and bookshelves above to complete the cohesive final look.
I was very pleased to have this unit featured on Farrow and Ball’s official Twitter account shortly after completion!
