Stunning bench for a stunning house! I designed and made this bespoke curved bench for a beautiful barn conversion. My customer approached me towards the end of the build, asking for a bench with shoe storage to fit a curved wall in their hallway, directly ahead, as you entered their front door.
Using reclaimed Beech from school desks for the frame and pine slats from a salvaged garage shelving unit, I constructed the bench to the customer’s specifications. The bench, made using around 80% reclaimed materials is finished using Farrow and Ball paint and a tough water based finish for the pine seat.
The seat looks perfect in its location and is now complimented by a bespoke curved, coloured glass window set into the wall above!
