BBC Directors Course

When the local BBC training facility at Wood Norton near Evesham contacted me asking if I’d take part as a guinea pig for budding directors, I of course jumped at the opportunity!

The course which involves the trainees (mostly experienced film makers and journalists) involves them writing and filming a short ‘One Show’ style local interest film; in my case, based on the UNIQ story and Upcycling.

The project starts with an interview with each trainee to enable them to gather background and an ‘angle’ for their film, followed by a second day with 3 hours of filming with a cameraman and sound technician.

I’ve been involved on 3 separate occasions and enjoyed every one, resulting in six short films!
